Cysts
Cysts are common on the skin and frequently appear on the back, neck or scalp. They feel like large peas under the skin. They can develop after a skin infection, acne, trauma or around a foreign body. Cysts usually are not painful unless they’ve become infected. Most cysts do not disappear on their own but require surgical removal.
