Dark Circles Under Eyes

This problem has been attributed to thin skin, lack of sleep and allergies and while all these may contribute, the real problem is loss of soft tissue in the mid cheek, which gives a hollowed area just under the lower eyelids. This condition can make one look tired or older than they are and can now be corrected with two simple in-office procedures.

Active FX laser shrinks and tightens the lower lids.  After healing for 2-3 weeks, dermal cosmetic fillers such as Radiesse are usually required to complete the cosmetic restoration. Filler is injected into the hollow areas we call dark circles, providing support to the eyelids. With this two-step minimally invasive procedure: laser plus filler, the need for eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, is rapidly becoming outmoded.
